Thoughts and Prayers to Shelley Griffitts

As many of you may already know, Shelley Griffitts had a bad fall at the Harmon Hopeful show this past Saturday. She is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday the 21st, and at this point, we ask that you all please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

It has been asked that, should you want to send her a card, please do NOT send them to the hospital, but please do send them to her home address:

Shelley Griffitts
180 Night Lark Lane
Campobello, SC 29322

Please also feel free to leave good wishes as a comment to this post. I'm sure that it will be a nice thing for her to read when she is out of surgery and recovering.

Please if you do post info as to her progress here, do make sure that it is accurate information and not just hearsay.

So at this point Shelley, the BRHJA board and family do wish you a successful surgery and a complete and speedy recovery! God Bless!!

Shelly,

I am trying to be as good a surrogate mother to Dreamy and Joe as you were to Holly. I gave them many treats this morning. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

just talked with shelley's sister post surgery. the news was fabulous. the neurosurgeons removed a piece of bone from c 5 that was broken. they inserted a metal plate in the flat part of the vertabra between 5 and 6. The surgeon called it a cage and bone. she will be coming back home friday and be in a hard cast for one month. there is no breakage in 3 and 4, a miracle.

in my conversation with shelley's sister sherry, want to convey her gratitude to st. luke's for identifying the problem and seeing she was transferred to a trauma unit. cindy boyle

just spoke with shelley, she is having difficulty swallowing, so foodstuff this week is probably not a good idea. with the surgery, they pull back your vocal chords, so her voice sounds a little muted, but overall pretty good. she may be released as early as tomorrow, but that is not a definite. cindy boyle
