BRHJA Year End Banquet Fast Approaching

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! We hope that you have a wonderful new year's also. I wanted to remind everyone about the BRHJA Year End Banquet on January 10th at the Spartanburg Marriot. The reservations are slow coming in and I must have a final count for meals on January 6th. Please email me if you intend to come so I can add you to the count. The Ask the Judge Clinic

I just want to make a comment about the "Ask the Judge" Clinic this past Friday at the Holiday Classic Show. Jim Zulia from Eustis, Fl and Steve Wall from Waukesha, WI were the judges. There were three hunter rounds ridden while the judges commented as they went around. It was very informative! The question and answer session was the best. I was so glad that Liza was there to learn and hear what they had to say. They were both very nice, personable, and insightful! The biggest thing that I went away with was when they said, "We are rooting for you! We want all of our scores to be in the 80's." That was nice to hear. They also seemed to emphasize consistent pace and rhythm! Small chips and swaps are not counted off as much as long as the rhythm doesn't change.

Thank you Lewis for having this clinic and thanks to Jim and Steve for giving us their perspective from the judges seat!

Time: 9:00am-5:00PM daily
Admission: $750 (Saturday , Sunday and Monday). Stalls are available $75 /per stall and bedding $6.50 per bag.

3 Day clinic with George Morris. Divisions offered: 3', 3'3"-3'6" & jumpers. Start times are as follows: 3' 9:00AM., 3"6" 11:00PM and Jumpers 2:30PM. Each section is limited to 8 participants only (division's will be filled based on postmark dates and money being received). Proper Attire is required: Shirts must be tucked and not loose fitting, Breeches and Boots. You should have a crop and spurs. Horses should be clean and well groomed. Braiding is not necessary. Your tack should be clean and presentable.
