The BRHJA Non Showing Siblings deserve some praise for supporting their siblings who show at the show! For those siblings who are not that into horses – these shows can be a long day if they can not find another non showing child to play with.
Recently, my son Jakob (8) patiently watched his sister in all her events and as Nadia (10) came out of the gate after her last class he heard her trainer ( Linda McDaniel) comment to Nadia that she had a great run but “lost” her stirrups at the end– upon hearing that Jakob eagerly volunteered to go back into that ring and find them for her and Ms. Linda! What a sweet brother – if only we could go back after a class and “find” our stirrups when we “loose” them – that would be like a mulligan for horse shows!
